BREAKING NEWS: No more “local film” on TvFILM!

TvFILM’s new season is jammed-packed with exciting and entertaining independent short films that are the perfect balance to this summer’s gluttony of recycled Happy Meals disguised as movies.  Our new season has 14 shorts films that stand up to anything you’re considering watching this summer, on the big or little screen.  So, from here on out, we’re going to lead off with how engaging these films and filmmakers are and then secondly we’ll mention they are local.  Sorry for the bait and switch, we are still delivering local independent films.  But the real announcement is how excited we are to bring you these films and filmmakers, so that’s going to be the headline!
TvFILM, Sundays at 11pm with repeats Tuesdays at 7:30pm!

“Calling PBR street gang, this is Almighty. What’s with the t-shirt?”

Yes, I’m a fan of the film, “Apocalypse Now.”  But, that is not why I had a t-shirt of the director, Francis Ford Coppola, holding a gun to his head on the set of the film.  I wore the shirt on episode three as a testament to a filmmaker and film production that were pushed to the limits of their ability, both physically and mentally.  It’s also a very cool t-shirt.  Francis’s wife, Eleanor, produced a great doc on the making of the film, “Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmakers Apocalypse.”  I highly recommend you watch this.   “Apocalypse Now” is not an independent film but there are many lessons any filmmaker can take away from such an incredible artistic endeavor.

Meanwhile, back on planet earth, TvFILM is all new Sundays at 11pm!
