Yes, I’m a fan of the film, “Apocalypse Now.” But, that is not why I had a t-shirt of the
director, Francis Ford Coppola, holding a gun to his head on the set of the
film. I wore the shirt on episode three as a testament to
a filmmaker and film production that were pushed to the limits of their
ability, both physically and mentally.
It’s also a very cool t-shirt.
Francis’s wife, Eleanor, produced a great doc on the making of the film,
“Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmakers Apocalypse.”
I highly recommend you watch this.
“Apocalypse Now” is not an independent film but there are many lessons
any filmmaker can take away from such an incredible artistic endeavor.
